Lucia Gonzalez age 80 of Galveston died Wednesday July 22, 2020 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 10:00am Wednesday July 29, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.

Lucia was born March 4, 1940 in Melchor Ocampo, N.L., Mexico to Francisco Flores and Librada Ramos. She was a devout and faithful catholic wife, mother and grandmother that devoted her time to care of her family. She loved cooking, traveling to Mexico, shopping at Wal-Mart, Dancing, Singing, and attending parties. She loved her pet cat Cha Cha who gave her many hours of comfort throughout the years. She was a strong, loving woman that was kind to all people. She set a good example for her family and many friends and will be lovingly remembered forever.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonardo Gonzalez, sister Sylviana Galvan; brothers Lupe "Chico" Flores, Lupe "Grande" Flores, Rodolfo Flores and Amando Flores; survivors include her daughter Elisa Gonzalez and husband Vicente, Sr.; sister Paula Gonzalez and husband Marciano all of Galveston; brother Roman Flores and wife Manuela of Melchor Ocampo, Mexico; grandchildren Leonardo Gonzalez, Vicente Gonzalez, Jr. and Alexandra Gonzalez; great granddaughter Aria Gonzalez all of Galveston; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are Vicente Gonzalez, Sr., Vicente Gonzalez, Jr., Leonardo V. Gonzalez, Rodolfo Gonzalez, Leonardo Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez.
