Lydia Blanche Foss age 92 of Dickinson passed peacefully away Saturday October 3, 2020 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas. Funeral Mass is 8:00am Monday October 12, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in San Antonio, Father Pat O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at 10:30am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Born March 20, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to Leo Caballero and Refugio Hinojosa Caballero, Lydia enjoyed working in her yard and doing cross stitch. Her house was always spotless. She was a real go getter and she learned to use the printing press quickly at her first job at Joskey's Department Store in San Antonio, a store the family lived close to. When the bus company went on strike, Lydia just walked to work because she didn't want to miss anything. After moving to Houston her skills with the printing press took her to work at NASA in the Printing Department. She retired to the Gulf Coast where she spent time in church and with her sister in League City and sons who lived close by.

Preceded in death by her husband Herbert O. Foss, Jr. and sons Herbert O. Foss, III and Glenn Foss; survivors include twin sister Linda Garza of Fort Worth, Texas, sister Connie Madla of Helotes and husband Felix, Texas, Susie Conrad and husband Chet of League City, Texas, nieces and nephews, John Madla and wife Kelly, Carlos Garza, Melita Garza, Magdalene Madla, Susan Adams and husband Jeff, Linda Massey and Raymond Jude Algueseva; other relatives and many friends.
