Manuel Chavarria, III age 73 died Tuesday October 20, 2020 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, Texas. Funeral services are 6:30pm Monday October 26, 2020 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, Pastor Greg Poore officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Manuel was born September 23, 1947 in Galveston, Texas to Manuel Chavarria, Jr. and Paula Martinez Chavarria. He was a 1967 graduate of Ball High School. Manuel was recruited by Union Carbide where learned Petro Chemical Processing. He was then recruited by Exxon/Mobil where he worked as an engineer, retiring with 36 years of service. He loved airplanes and air shows and was an avid collector of Model Planes. He loved movies and music and had a very large collection of music. He and was always known as a sharp dressed man. He loved spending time with his family and his family at Clear Creek Community Church where he was a member of the Men's Group; he served faithfully in the Wednesday Night Offering Ministry and his real passion as an intercessor in the Sunday Prayer Ministry.

Preceded in death by his parents and a sister Juanita Green, survivors include his daughter Elizabeth Chavarria of Dana Point, CA; son Manuel Martinez Chavarria, IV of Galveston; sister Nettie Williams of Santa Fe, Texas; brothers Albert Chavarria and wife Margie, Antonio "Tony" Chavarria and Ralph Chavarria and wife Kitty all of Galveston; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
