Margaret Amanda Ervin, 94, of Texas City died Friday, February 21, 2025, at UTMB Hospital in League City. Visitation is 10:00am with the funeral service at 11:00am Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Gulf Coast Foursquare Church 6205 Delany Road Hitchcock, Texas 77563, Reverend John Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Margaret was born July 26, 1930, in Indianola, Mississippi to William Franklin Odom and Alberta Bierman Odom. She resided in Texas City for 67 years retiring from UTMB as an Administrative Assistant at the Moody State School for the Handicap. She was a member of Gulf Coast Foursquare Church.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Edward Leo Ervin, Sr., a son Lawrence Allen Ervin, her sisters Betty Gilliand and Gladys Edwards and her brothers Henry Odom and W.D. Odom all of Mississippi and a daughter in law Gay Ellen Ervin.  Survivors include her son Edward L. Ervin Jr. of Texas City, son Ralph W. Ervin and wife Kathy Bryant Ervin of Nacogdoches, son Robert D. Ervin and wife Tresa of Texas City and daughter Karen Lynn Ervin of Texas City; grandchildren, Lisa, Sara, John Michael, Kristen, Megan, Amy, Brian and Lauren; great grandchildren Parker Loney and Addyson Loney, and a beloved grand dog Bo, numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Brian Loney, Parker Loney, John Michael Ervin and Michael Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Eugene Kelley, Billy Johnston and Brian Allen Ervin.
