M argeree Battle Wilson was born October 28, 1936. She was the oldest of the siblings born to the late Clyde Battle and Alberta Reece. Her sister, Idell Haynes and brother Clyde Battle Jr. proceeded her in death.

She is a member of the Body of Christ and was a long standing member of St. John Baptist church, serving as the president over the usher board along with other areas of responsibility.

Margeree worked hard all of her life, holding down many jobs in the commuity in order to support herself and her three sons. She has one son deceased: Reginald Wilson. Most notible was the 18 years she spent as the first African American female operator to break the color barrier while employed at the Monsanto Chemical plant.

In her youger days, she was an avid bowler winning many trophies and awards. Later in life, she enjoyed watercolor painting and creating custom designed shirts for family and friends.

She departed this life on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at her home.

Her memories will remain forever with her three devoted sons: Johnnie (Delores), Joe, and Warren Tex (Victoria). She leave behind 7 grandchildren: J-Onna, Crystal, Warren Jr., Kellie, Kelvin, Maya, and Austin; and a host of great grandchildren. She will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of family and friends alike.
