Marilyn Sue Lewis age 80 of Galveston passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, at her residence in Galveston. Graveside services are 10:00 am Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Sue was born October 11, 1945 in Wellington, Kansas to Miner Jesse Turner and Esther Irene (Landes) Turner.  Sue enjoyed working with her hands. Always spending time in the outdoors working in the yard, fixing the house, painting the stairs and anything she could find to make better.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman H. Lewis who died in 1985, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her sister Judith Ann Baxter and niece Shirley Hamer both of Galveston, five nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
