Martha Ann Gonzales age 88 of Galveston went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 23, 2022, at The Meridian in Galveston. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, January 9, 2023, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, Reverend Eric Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Martha was born January 31, 1934, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Thomas Lester McGuire and Ann Cecile Camp McGuire. She was a longtime resident of Galveston where she was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church for many years. Martha was a member of the Jolly Elders Group and could often be found helping with children's ministries. During her working career she was employed by UTMB Healthcare in Galveston where she retired.

Survivors include her sister Virginia Lowe of Roseville, California and many friends in Galveston.
