GALVESTON Maureen Ellen Moody Kirl age 64 of Jamaica Beach passed away Friday November 8, 2019 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 6:30pm Thursday, November 14, 2019 with visitation beginning at 5:00pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston, Pastor Robert E. Dowdy, Sr. officiating.

Maureen was born December 26, 1954 in Galveston, Texas to Joseph Edward Moody and Marjorie Ellen Dushane Moody. She was raised in the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. Maureen was a wonderful mother and grandmother who gave her life to her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She loved the beach and going fishing and watching the sunrise and  sunset. She loved to dance and sing and very much enjoyed riding with her son on his motorcycle. Rest with the Angels mom. Til we see you in heaven

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Wesley Kirl and sister Karen Dushane Vignone, survivors include son Michael Wesley Kirl and Sharla Kreger of Jamaica Beach; daughter, Bridgett Kirl; grandchildren James Kirl, Rebecca Kirl, Jade Kirl, Kaden Kreger, Karlie Kreger and Jimmie Kreger; numerous other relatives and friends
