Maxine Verdell Keeler, 90, born to Rev. Calvin Lassiter and Beulah Mann Lassiter on October 29th, 1932 was called home Thursday, March 30th, 2023. Maxine spent her childhood on Bolivar Peninsula before moving to Galveston Island. On May 20th,1983 she married John Keeler and finally, she settled in Dickinson Texas.

Maxine was a firecracker and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her knew she was not afraid to speak her mind. She was a loving Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother and was always there to help you out when you needed her. Maxine was a fighter and fought hard until the end, her strength and perseverance was truly inspiring to all.

Maxine is preceded in death by her Husband John Keeler, Mother Beulah Lassiter, Father Rev. Calvin Lassiter her Sisters Mary Ann, Coralee, and Kathrine, also her brothers Charlie and A.G. her daughter Rita Dale Sievers and great­ granddaughter Clarissa Shea Friesenhahn.

Survivors Include Brothers: Jim and David Lassiter, Daughter: Renee Perkins and her Husband Mike

Arevalos; Grandchildren: Tammi Sievers, Peter Ochoa and his Wife Christina, Anton Arevalos and his Wife Sera; Great Grand Children: Brandon and Adrianna Ochoa, Haley Garcia and her Husband Danny Garcia, Asa Sievers and Mia Arevalos; Great-Great Grandchild: Axel Mercado.
