Michael Almanza, Jr. age 10 of Galveston died Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Victoria, Texas. Funeral services are 11:00am Wednesday March 30, 2022 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home beginning at 9:00am.
Michael was born November 17, 2011 in Galveston, Texas to Melissa Flores Almanza and Michael Almanza, Sr. He was an outgoing happy boy who loved to bring joy to all around him. He loved to dance and listen to music, playing on his Play Station, Skating, and playing all sports activities. He was a student at Parker Elementry School. His happy face and joyful spirit will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by biological father Rudy Williams, sister Alexis Cisneros, cousin Alina Woods, and grandfather Lonnie D. Spurlock.
Surviving relatives include mother Melissa Flores Almanza, great grandmothers, Esther Gonzales and Josephine Almanza, grandmother; Theresa Spurlock, grandfather; Robert Zepeda, grandmother; Dominga Zepeda, grandfather; Juan Almanza (Christine), sisters; Sieanna Flores (D.J.), Starr Cisneros, Gillissa Cisneros, Jessica Cisneros, Mykayla Fuller, Ly'nae Flores, Ariana Williams, brothers; Orlando Cisneros, Alex Williams, and Caiden Williams.
Extended family include aunts; Lanita LaDay (Mario), Crystal Spurlock (Chris), Sharon Charles (Franco), Candice Hein (Sean), Michelle Almanza, Joanna Hunter (Corey), and Rosalinda Rodriguez, uncles; Antonio Greaux (Stephanie), Oscar Alaniz, Steven Alaniz (Nikey), Jose Zepeda (Lindsey), Carlos Cortez, and Alexander Almanza.
Pallbearers are Orlando Cisneros, Sterling Alaniz, Krische White, Antonio Greaux, Oscar Alaniz, David Ray Gonzalez and Dominique Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Dezaray Cockrell, Alex Williams and Caiden Williams.
Melissa would like to express a sincere appreciation to every who came out and helped make the funeral possible with their gifts. And a special thanks to Randile Ordonez and Dana Thomas (Mikey's Teacher) for being by my side through this whole tragedy.
