With great sorrow, we announce the passing of 'Mickey' June Smith Cole Wright on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 93, after a long and fulfilling life.

'Mickey' June was born on June 19, 1931, in Dayton, Kentucky, to Raymond and Lillie (Warren) Smith. 'Mickey' June married Donald B. Cole (deceased) in 1955 and had two children, Donna June and Bryce Dennis. 'Mickey' June married again to Roland Wright (deceased) in 1982.

One of 'Mickey' June's most commendable accomplishments was her ability to write music and lyrics to Christian songs. Her music brought peace and joy to those blessed enough to listen to her play and there wasn't a piano she would not sit down and strike a chord or two. She loved music, travel, art, crafts, sewing, drawing, reading, and designing new ideas. She was a well-rounded person who loved her friends and was very social.

'Mickey' June survived is by her children, Donna June (Cole) Heinrich and Paul Ray Heinrich of LaMarque, Texas and Bryce Dennis and Cecilia Cole of Orange, California. She has two grandchildren, Bradford Dayton Heinrich and Nigel Ray Heinrich and Misty Heinrich and nine great grandchildren.

A special thanks to Moody Methodist Church, for accepting her in as part of the Family of God. She loved her church and loved attending events.

We would also like to thank North Star Hospice for providing her home healthcare and preparing her and the family for her eternal home through comfort and love.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 5 to 8 PM at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston, Texas.

Services will be held at Moody Methodist Church, Galveston, Texas., on March 27 at 10 AM with burial service directly afterwards at Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
