GALVESTON   Minerva Cruz age 86 of Galveston died Monday August 29, 2022 at her residence in Galveston. Funeral services are 6:30pm Wednesday August 31, 2022 with visitation beginning at 5:00pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Minerva was born July 28. 1936 in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Bartolo Oviedo and Benita Villarreal. She was a wonderful mother, sister and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She was a hardworking woman of great faith. Her presence we will miss but her memory we will never forget.

Preceded in death by her parents; survivors include her son Teo Cruz; grandson Milan Cruz; sisters Enedelia Oviedo and Aurelia Oviedo; numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
