Mitchell David Chase left this life for his forever home on February 5, 2020, after a brave battle with cancer. Born August 13, 1962, to Jack and Connie Chase, he was raised in Clinton, Iowa. As a young adult Mitch moved to Galveston, Texas, and spent most of his life in and around the Gulf Coast area. Mitch is survived by his parents, Jack and Connie Chase of Spring Hill, FL, his brother, Russ and wife Allison of Pasadena, Texas, his son, Trevor, and many dear friends who he had come to know as his family. Mitch will be remembered for his persevering spirit, his encouraging words to both friends and strangers, and his strong faith in his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Special thanks to the physicians and staff at UTMB Galveston, who over the last few years of his complicated health treated him with dignity and compassion. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, February 8, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Galveston.
