Nathaniel Patrick Love, Sr.

Nathaniel Patrick Love, Sr., affectionately known as "Nate" and "Boogaloo," was born on February 13, 1953, to Henry and Eslen Love in Galveston, Texas.

Nathaniel attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, served as an Altar Boy and graduated from Galveston Ball High School with the Class of 1973, where he played Varsity Football. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon  Anders, and from their union, four children were born.
Nathaniel was employed by various companies, including   Coca-Cola, TxDOT, and Maritime, before retiring from Western Geophysical after 25 years of dedicated service as a cook aboard the ship.

Nathaniel loved, sports, and an avid Cowboys fan, "How bout' those Cowboys. He loved to cook, bake, and gather with his family. He enjoyed making sweet treats, playing his harp, and singing songs. One of his favorite songs was, "Let It Be" by The Beatles.

Nathaniel loved to travel the world, learn new languages, and experience and share different cultures. He would often return from his voyages with beautiful stories to tell and gifts to share with his family and loved ones.

Nathaniel was the family comedian. If you were in his presence, he would surely make you laugh out loud—or at least smile. He was the kind of person who could tell you what you needed to hear, whether you liked it or not, but it was always shared with love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Love, Sr.; his brother, Henry Love, Jr.; his sister, Linda Love. Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Eslen Brown Love; his wife, Sharon Love, his children Francesca D. Love, Nathaniel P. Love Jr, Christopher G. Love, and Sharhonda E. Love, his sisters, Eslen Love Perry and Christine Love Kegler; his brother, Harold Love, Sr.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; beloved relatives; and his best friend, Mario Aguilar.

We will always remember his music, his food, his jokes, and the many ways he made us smile. Rest in Peace, Nate. You will be deeply missed  forever.  "Do Ya thang Nate!"
