GALVESTON Oberlin Flores age 72, of Galveston passed away Saturday January 25, 2020 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 6:30pm Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston with visitation between 5-8pm. The burial will be at Cristo Rey Cemetery in Melchor Ocampo, N.L., Mexico on Saturday.

Born July 29, 1947 in Melchor Ocampo, Mexico to Guadalupe Flores and Gloria Salinas Flores, Oberlin was a contractor and a hard working man providing very well for his family. He was a lifetime Roman Catholic and a good husband, father, and grandfather. May he rest in peace.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years Mirosalba Flores; daughters Karla Salinas and husband Sergio Salinas, Karina Flores and husband Marvin Hernandez and Patricia Espiricueta and husband Mario; sons Alfonso Flores and wife Nafsika and Steven Flores and wife Amie Guidry; sisters Ana Flores, Amada Garcia, Rosario Gonzalez, Librada Solis, Gloria Herrera, Belen Lopez and Mercedes Gonzalez; brother Juan Flores, Javier Flores, Abundio Flores and Leonardo Flores; grandchildren, Yulissa Gutierrez, Evelyn Espiricueta, Joselyne Espiricueta, Adriana Salinas, Paola Salinas, Amalia Flores, Cierra Enriquez, Brianna Villarreal, Juan "Nacho" Gonzalez, Oberlin Gonzalez, Edgar Gonzalez, Ismael Arreola, Humberto Salinas, Alejandro Salinas, Angel Espiricueta, Alfonso Flores, Andres Flores and Isaiah Enriquez; great grandchildren Esmeralda Gonzalez, Jade Gonzalez, Yamileth Salinas, Ignacio Gonzalez, Jr. and Mariano Medellin, Jr.
