Ray Edward Jones age 89 of Austonio, Texas passed away October 09, 2024 at the Palestine Regional Medical Center in Palestine, Texas.

Ray was born June 7, 1935 and raised in Galveston Texas. Mr. Jones was a loving father, Grandfather, and Great grandfather and friend to many. His love of motorcycles and the outdoors was evident by him riding his motorcycle until he was 83. He loved to work in his yard. Later in life Ray moved to Austonio Texas to be near his family.

He is proceeded in death by Grandson Anthony Jones. He is survived by his daughter Lorie Williamson and son in law Patrick Williamson, Daughter Angela Gandy, and son Edward  and daughter in law Stacy Jones. His grandchildren Wesley Wisnoski, Wendy Reed, Mark Delanney Jr.,  Matthew Delanney, Christopher Jones, Bryan Jones, Lucas Gandy, Grace Gandy, Trinity Jones, Tama Jones, and Quanah Jones. Great Grandchildren Macie Wisnoski, Sean Wisnoski, Lily Reed, Rose Delanney, Oliver Delanney, Lilly Gandy, Lucas Gandy, Walker Gandy, Elijah Kress, and Harmony Jones.

Viewing will be held at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston Texas  on October 16, 2024 between 5-7 pm. There will be a service at the funeral home the following morning at 10 am. Following the service interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
