Ricardo Villarreal, Jr. age 63 of Galveston passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his residence in Galveston.  Funeral services are 10:00am Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.

Ricardo was born December 8, 1960 in Laredo, Texas, to Ricardo Villarreal, Sr. and Juana Adela Molina Villarreal. In his early years he was employed by Dr. Pepper as a driver, a job he loved before becoming disabled. He then began his work in construction, known as a hardworking man who could build or fix anything in his own time. He was loved by his loyal family and served his Lord Jesus Christ.

Ricardo is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Rebecca Pedraza. He is survived by his supportive wife and caregiver Guillermina Ortiz Villarreal and sons Francisco Villarreal and Jessica, Ricardo Villarreal III, and Enrique Villarreal and Lisa, brothers Reynaldo Villarreal and Reymundo Villarreal, Erick Villarreal and Jeffrey Castellow; grandchildren Alondra, Maximiliano, Israel, Samantha, Alex, Rick, Phillipe; great grandchildren, Ace, Anna'li and Jesus; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to give thanks to the Harbor Hospice for their kind and compassionate care during Ricardo's illness.
