Rickey Wayne Lemon age 63 of Galveston died September 28, 2021 at Jennie Sealy Hospital. Funeral services are 11:00am Saturday October 9. 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 am Saturday.

Rickey was born January 24, 1958 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Lawrence Lemon and Eva Lamb. He was a Wrecker Driver by trade and a loving father, brother and grandfather. He will be missed.

Rickey was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Lemon and wife Mary Tillman and mother Eva Lemon Lamb; grandparents Lezemme and Eva Lemon and Adam and Pauline Lamb; sisters Shelia Lemon Gaines and Cynthia Lemon; and a devoted cousin John Vallier, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Ricketta Lemon Denton (Sharon Denton); son Quinten Branch (Robin Branch); brother Mickey Lemon; sisters Toni Lemon and (Anthony Johnson); Sheena Lemon Batiste (Bruce), Latanya and Anthony Shannon; stepbrothers Jerry and Tony Allen; step sister Joy and Roy Callier; grandkids Quinnyah Branch, Daion Denton, Dasia Scurry Denton, Dahyana Scurry, D'Isianae Henderson; nieces Kenyatta Austin, Trakeisha Gaines, TaSheda Johnson, Rodneika Lemon, Aubrenae Davis, Mariah Brown, Dahjah Shannon; nephews Rodney Gamble, Jr., Tavosky Robinson; great nieces and nephews; special friends Julie and Manuel Molis, devoted cousins Pierrie and Miranda Lamb; special cousin/aunt Julia Lazare and family.

Pallbearers are Anthony Johnson, Floyd Lemon, Mark Lemon, June Lemon, Julian Buchanan, Alton Jones and Quinten Branch. Honorary pallbearer is Rodney Gamble, Sr.
