Robert Wayne "Wayne" Pagan, age 64, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, following a lengthy illness.

Wayne was born on March 16, 1962, in Houston, Texas. He spent much of his early childhood in Corpus Christi before moving with his family to Galveston in 1976. It was there that he quickly embraced island life and made it his home.

Wayne truly loved life and lived it to the fullest. Much of his time was spent riding, buying, and selling cars and motorcycles. He also had a deep passion for cooking and golf. He rarely missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Dallas Cowboys or enjoy a sweet treat, and he famously never left the house without looking sharp.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Young Pagan.  Wayne is survived by his children, Courtney Jo Pagan, Hunter Pagan, MacKenzie Pagan (Megan Bosshard), Lexie Pagan, Hannah Alcala, and Jordan Alcala; and his grandchildren, Jaylee, Kaiden, Wyatt, and Maddox.  He also leaves behind his siblings, Shanna Pagan Pennington (Jeff), John Shaw "Jack" Pagan, Elizabeth Pagan "Libbye" Morrell (Rob), and Stewart Levy Pagan; his stepmothers, Suzi Smith Pagan Warzecha and Sharon Levy Pagan; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In addition, he leaves behind his wife, Cindy, with whom he remained loving and caring throughout the years and his longtime friend Lisa Gondesen, whose friendship, kindness and support meant a great deal to Wayne and his family.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston 1:00pm Wednesday the 26th of August 2026, with the Reverend Jimmy Abbott officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 2216 Ball Street, Galveston, Texas 77550 (www.trinitygalv.org/memorial-donation) or the charity of your choice.
