Robert Keith Strickland, Jr. age 60 of Galveston died Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Graveside services with military honors are 10:30 am Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Houston National Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Robert was born December 25, 1964, in Bradenton, Florida to Robert Keith Strickland, Sr. and Mary Margaret Wilkinson Strickland. He was a 1983 graduate of Ball High School. After high school he entered Galveston College where he studied law before enlisting in the US Army, where he served honorably in the first Gulf War in Iraq. After his military service he returned to Galveston where he worked in various jobs of carpentry in new construction and remolding.

Preceded in death by his parents and a sister Kate Stricklan, survivors include son, Stephon Strickland and wife Rosanne of Santa Fe, Texas; brother Lee Strickland and wife Jacquline Parlour of Gardenstown, Scotland; nieces, Illyana Strickland of Santa Fe, Texas; Ellen Strickland, Emily Strickland, Jessica Strickland, and Kate Strickland; nephew Phillip Stinchcomb all of Scotland; numerous other relatives and friends.
