Rodney Le'Var Epps age 37 of Galveston died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 11:00am Saturday September 25. 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00am.

Rodney was born January 3, 1984 in Galveston, Texas. He was a member of the Ball High School Class of 2002. He worked in the restaurant industry as a cook. He was an excellent husband, father, son and brother who will be missed deeply.

Preceded in death by his brother Glen Epps and grandmother Lillie Mae Epps, uncles Timmy and Leonard Epps and an aunt Lawana Epps; survivors include his loving wife Johnnishia Epps; daughter Margaret Epps; sons Rodney L. Epps, Jr., Rodrick Epps, Roshawn Epps, Robert Epps and Isarian Sweed; mother Tammy Epps and husband Jesse Watson; father Percy Smith; brothers Andre Epps and wife Latisha, Percy Epps and Chris Epps and wife Neme; sisters Jessica Watson and Ronika Jones and husband William; best friend Larry Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are Christopher Epps, Larry Smith, Rodney Epps, Jr., Rodrick Epps, Robert Epps and Isarian Sweed.
