Obituary

Ruby (Craft) Burch, 91, has left this earth to join her family and friends in their heavenly home on June 15, 2022. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at Carnes B rothers Funeral Home in Galveston where a short prayer service will be held at 6:30pm. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am Thursday at the Port Bolivar Cemetery.

She was born February 22, 1931 to JG Craft and Carrie Craft in Whitehouse, TX. as another member of a large family during the great depression and into World War II. She and her brothers and sister wound up in Boles Home in Quinlan, Texas after her mother passed away when she was 11 years old. While at Boles Home, she met and eventually married her husband Tommy Burch, she was blessed with a long life filled with family, friends, love, laughter and shared many stories about her life during her visits.

She enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and loved fresh buttermilk from the dairy with some cornbread. She was convinced that greased lightning spray would clean anything. She was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed by anyone that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Rita Kalman and her husband Ted, son James Burch and his wife Lisa and son Gary Burch, her grandchildren Karen Betell, Nathan Revia, Matthew Revia, Braden Burch and Kyle Burch and her great grandchildren Keegan Bradley, Annaliese Revia Danny Betell, Tory Beth Betell, Sister Betty Roach and her husband Jack, Sister in law's Ruth Craft (Troy's wife) and Kathy Craft (Truman's wife) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband TE (Tommy) Burch, her parents JG and Carrie Craft and her brothers George, Toby, Truman, Jerry, Troy, half-brother Barry Craft, great grandson Keller Bradley and her lifelong best friend Rosa Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Forward, Johnny Johnson, Roy Bouse, Lucas Bouse, Tommy Autrey, Ted Kalman, Keegan Bradley and Braden Burch
