Ruth Helen Antoine age 91 of Galveston passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in Texas City. Funeral Mass is 10:00 am Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston. Visitation at the church will begin at 9:00am Saturday.

Ruth Helen Antoine was a woman of grace, sophistication, and unwavering faith. A devoted Catholic, she lived by strong moral principles and deeply held values. Known for her elegance, reserved nature, and dignified demeanor, she naturally commanded admiration and respect. Her beauty was matched by her strength, wisdom, and remarkable character. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of faith, dignity, strength, and timeless elegance.

Ruth Helen Antoine was preceded in death by her parents, Booker T. Brookins and Mable Brookins; her beloved husband, Joseph Antoine; her sister, Joyce Mae Boyce; her brother, Booker T. Brookins Jr.; and her nieces, Patricia Brookins, Aline Salter, and Carolyn Epps.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving niece, Linda Holt; her devoted nephew, Lonnie Salter Jr.; her cherished best friend, Dr. Gaylynn Moore-Collins; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her presence.
