PASADENA   Ruth Estelle Marks age 95 of Pasadena died Monday, June 13, 2022 at Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pasadena. Funeral services are 11:00am Saturday, June 18, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 7500 Fairmont Parkway Pasadena, Texas 77505, Reverend Roland Hill officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 10:00am.

Born April 5, 1927 in Richmond, Virginia to James Hunter Via, Sr. and Flora May Mansfield Via, Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served Him with her husband as a Lay Missionaries to Japan, Brazil and Wyoming. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena.

Preceded in death her parents and her late husband Elson of 70 years, she is survived by her; daughter, Beverly Wetzler and husband Roy of Lake Village, Arkansas; son, Charles E. Marks and wife Barbara of Pasadena; grandsons, Brian Wetzler and wife Linda and Chris Marks; granddaughters, Amy Estes and Jennifer Marks; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
