Ryan David Medina 3/4/91-9/5/25

Ryan David Medina passed away from this life Friday September 5th, 2025 at the age of 34.

The family will receive visitors at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. - 8 :00 p.m. Thursday September 25, 2025, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.

Ryan was born on March 4th, 1991, in Galveston, Texas. Ryan was a twin brother, a loving son, an uncle and a loyal friend. He graduated from Ball High School in 2010. And went to Galveston College to further his education his dream was to become a diesel mechanic however he mostly enjoyed being a Tow Truck Driver at Kens Towing he took great pride in his work, He had a passion for helping and volunteering for anyone who needed help. Ryan grew up spending time in his grandparent's garage with his dad or his grandpa. He loved listening to music while working on projects. Ryan was a jack of all trades, a quality given to him by his father. Ryan had a true gift for working with his hands. He was deeply passionate about fixing and restoring vehicles of all kinds, a talent that brought him both joy and satisfaction. Whether it was the hum of an engine coming to life or the satisfaction for a job well done, Ryan's love for hands-on work was evident in everything he did. He was so talented that even during his illness he could walk you through things like teaching his mom to bbq or how to fix anything without being able to see it.

Ryan met a lot of people being a tow truck driver and created a tow family that lasted throughout his life. He would never back down from a challenge, and if he couldn't solve it he always knew someone who could. Ryan always did what was right no matter how tough the circumstances.

Ryan lived every moment to the fullest, whether through his love for a mechanic problem or spending time with family.

Ryan will be leaving behind a legacy of genuine connections and cherished memories with a passion for life. Ryan was the person you called when you needed help and he would answer the phone anytime of day and always willing to show up when it counted the most from a late night tow to get his mom home safely to just talking on the phone for hours for someone in need.

He lived for a good time, and enjoyed fun shenanigans with friends, always having a good laugh, always the first to bring light and energy to any gathering. His warm heart and easygoing nature made him beloved by many. Ryan's sense of humor was unmatched. He wouldn't hesitate to let you know he was the "Golden Child". He had jokes for days and always had a smile on his face. Despite facing health challenges, he never let them dim his light or take away his infectious smile. He always knew how to make others laugh, no matter the situation. His spirit was one of resilience.

Ryan loved his family and friends with a passion that showed through everything that he did.

Whenever someone in his orbit had a child he always wanted to be a part of their life. Ryan was also a man who enjoyed the good things in life, like going out to eat fine dining to eating fried chicken with his favorite cousin Mike Medina. Ryan enjoyed jumping in Mike's old school truck, taking a drive around the island blasting the music or hitting the road for a new adventure.

Ryan's family and friends will forever hold dear the countless moments his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him and he will forever remain in our hearts.

He is reunited in heaven with his father David Medina and his twin brother Bryan David Medina, survived by his mother, Maricela Medina Acosta, his sisters Melissa Galicia (Aubrey Marshall), Monique Caracheo (Micheal Caracheo) nephew Marley Marshall and nieces Molly and Mariah Carachero.

Pallbearers are Mike Medina, Aubrey Marshall, Tony Weyant, Vieto Benavidez, Alec Martinez, Ira Scooter Bacon and Carl Couchman.

A special thank you, to his favorite Dr. Mary Jo. Godinich and the faculty and staff at the Dialysis Center. We appreciate and thank everyone during this difficult time for all the love, support, prayers and donations.

THE FUNERAL PROCESSION WILL LEAVE THE FUNERAL HOME FRIDAY MORNING AT 9 AM TO TAKE RYAN ON HIS FINAL RIDE OVER THE CAUSEWAY AND THEN ON TO SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH
