On April 16th, 2024 Sandra Johnson transition to eternal life in Los Angeles California. Funeral services are 11:00am Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, with visitation to begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.

Sandra was born January 2, 1951 in Galveston, Texas to the union of Otis Johnson and Dorothy Nelson. Sandra attended Galveston Island schoo.ls where she went to Central high school, class of 1969. There after she attended Galveston College where she studied Allied Health Occupation class of 1974.

From 1979-1998 she worked in various medical institutions in California and Texas as a CCS Coder at UCLA-Santa Monica, Brotman Medical Center and UTMB. Sandra retired from the medical field in 1998.

Sandra studied at Lifeline International School of Ministry. Sandra was a true believer in Christianity and always had positive and motivating words that she would share with family and friends.

Sandra is proceeded in death by her parents Otis Johnson and Dorothy Nelson, brothers Eddie Shaw Jr. and Johnny Shaw.

Sandra is survived by her son Mark Johnson (Nina); grandkids Mark Jr. (Myesha), Marlecia (Josh), Chasma Garner, Marquis Hamilton. Sandra has eight great grandkids and a brother Otis Johnson Jr. A host of nieces and nephews.
