Sergio Alberto Marines age 60 of Galveston died Wednesday December 16, 2020 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 11:00am Friday December 18, 2020 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm where a prayer service will take place at 7:00pm. A family burial will be held 10am Saturday at Calvary Cemetery.

Sergio was born May 13, 1960 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Jose Marines and Estefana Duran Marines. He was a member of New Life Church in Galveston where he loved and served the Lord. He was a loving, friendly and happy man that brought happiness to those around him. He loved music, praising his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, always willing to lend a hug. In recent years he enjoyed learning the Guitar and Accordion. Until we meet again.

Preceded in death by his parents Jose and Estefana Marines, brother Jesus Marines Duran and sisters Isabel Marines Duran, Idalia Martinez and Carmen Valdez; survivors include his brothers Jose D. Marines and wife Elizabeth, Carlos Marines and wife Juanita, Amador Marines and wife Graciela, Isaul Marines and wife Maria and Luis A. Marines and wife Rosalinda; sisters Mary Martinez and Ofelia Gamez and husband Daniel; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
