Our hearts are broken to let you know today that Seth Alexander Eckman passed away on Tuesday, November 16 ^th , only a few weeks past his 21st birthday. Funeral services are 3:00pm Saturday November 20, 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home with visitation to begin at 1:00pm. Burial will take place Monday at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

Seth was born October 30, 2000 to S. Dane Eckman and Sarah J. Chittum.  He resided with his mother, Sarah Chittum and stepfather, Richie Chittum in LaMarque, TX.  He is also survived by three step-brothers, Chad Chittum, Codee Chittum and Cason Chittum. and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His surviving grandfathers are Gary Shaw and Melvin Eckman.

Those who knew Seth before tragedy struck last year when he was shot multiple times, knew a happy-go-lucky, goofy young man that could always get a smile out of you. He loved with his whole heart.  He did everything wholeheartedly!  He had many obstacles placed in front of him last year that mentally and physically were a lot for ANYONE to have handled.  Yet he faced each fear, each surgery, each mental anguish and pain with determination and courage.  If you knew him, you knew how hardheaded he could be and for this we were thankful through each struggle.

Seth's struggle here on earth is over. He will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
