Tally Anne Calvert, 59 died March 9, 2018.  Tally died peacefully at her Galveston home.  Tally received her R.N. in 1981.  She spent much of her nursing career at UTMB.  She worked as a nurse aboard the Alaskan Universe Explorer cruise line and 2 years in Hawaii.

Tally, you were the Queen of our Universe.  A shinning star of humanity.  Your passion for life is an inspiration-as an advocate for equality, calling out the idiocracy and still finding good in life to share with everyone.

Poison control center nurse, animal rescue advocate, beachcomber (from her wall of lost soles to her list of items she cleaned off the beach were both humorous and a tragic testament to how we treat our planet).  She made beautiful treasures from ocean debris, and gifted one of a kind treasures to all of us she met.  She was a member of the Krewe of Aquarius for 20 years. A Member of the Elks Lodge #126 and an active member of the Galveston Fencing Club. Tally was a lifelong Astros fan and was ecstatic to see her beloved Astros win the World Series.

She is survived by her best friend and partner of 12 years Jim Bleicher (children Hunter and Dirk).  Parents Shirley and Butch Windsor.  Siblings Bret Calvert, Bruce Calvert (children Joshua, Jeremy and Ryan), Tracy Calvert and wife Mary Calvert (children Tracy Jr and Brooke), Christy Calvert Wong and husband Peter (children Ashley, David and Lindsey) and Tracy Windsor and wife Angela Brown (son Eric).

Great nieces and nephews: Ashlyn, Jeremy Jr.,  Elyssa, Adam, Ariel, Aiden, Salvador "Bubba",  and Elizabeth.

Lifelong friends, Nancy and Mark Jahn, Sharon Fleming and Ramona Meyers.

Friends and family are invited to join us as we celebrate Tally's life.  The celebration of life will be held on Tally's 60th birthday, March 24th at her Galveston home.
