On November 29th, 2022, Tom V Ford peacefully passed in his home in Galveston, TX surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was 71 years old. Born in Hugoton, KS, he was the son of late James Ford and Evelyn Ford.
Tom Ford is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Yvonne Ford, along with his three sons Chris and Marieka Ford (Liberal, KS), Bret and Mikala Ford (Glenwood Springs, CO), and Preston and Lacey Ford (Wamego, KS); step daughter Tammy and Jason Barber (Monument, CO) and stepson Terry Gruber(LA, California); his brother Lex and Melissa Ford (Houston, TX) and two sisters Kathy and Bill Dale (Hays, KS), and Lynn and Paul Haiar (Las Vegas, NV); and eight grandchildren, Chandler, Sarah, Chris, Kaleb, Aspen, Logan, Lillian, William, and one great grandson Christopher. Tom is preceded by his parents, step mother Barbette Ford, and two brothers James Ford and Terry Ford.
He graduated from Hugoton High School in 1969. He was respected manager at a power plant in Southwest Kansas for 35 years then retired. During his career, he obtained a bachelor in science at Fort Hays University.
Tom had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed pheasant hunting, scuba diving, flying with his father, traveling, and remodeling homes he lived in. Tom enjoyed his time with his family and shared his adventures with them. Tom made a friend wherever he went.
A memorial service in Red River will be announced later in the spring. Rest in peace, you're dearly missed and loved.
