Thomas Lee McCauley, age 67, passed away on January 5, 2026, in Galveston, Texas. He was born in Ruston, Louisiana March 31, 1958.
Thomas devoted 42 years of service to Southwest Airlines, where his dedication and work ethic were deeply valued. He served on SWA Presidents Council for two years, where he was instrumental in being a link between onsite employees and operations. Beyond his professional life, he was passionate about community service and giving back to others.
He was an active member of the Garland Jaycees and served the Texas Jaycees in multiple leadership roles. In recognition of his commitment and service, he was honored with a Texas JCI Senatorship in 1993. Thomas also volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House in Galveston, reflecting his generous spirit and compassion for families in need.
Thomas loved traveling and was a devoted fan of Arkansas Razorback football, interests that brought him great joy throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Matt McCauley and Mary Fish McCauley, and by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Diana McCauley.
He is survived by Sharon McCauley; his sister, Anita McCauley Murrell of North Little Rock; his nephews, Dan Murrell of Rogers, Arkansas, and William McCauley of North Little Rock; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
Memorial will be held on the west beach 11745 Termini Pass Road, Galveston, TX 77554 at 2 PM Saturday, February 21st, 2006.
