Tikie Gus Kriticos age 77 formerly of Galveston died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas. Funeral services are 10:30am Saturday, December 21, 2024, at The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church 714 19th Street in Galveston. The family will receive visitors beginning at 9:30am where a Trisagion Service will be held before the funeral.  Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Forest Park Cemetery – Lawndale 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas 77023 under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.

Tikie was born August 10, 1947 in Galveston, Texas to Gus John Kriticos and Nora Fress Kriticos. He was a member of the George Marinos Chapter of the Order of AHEPA; Lifetime Member of Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church where he served in many capacities including Parish Council.  He graduated from Ball High School and then from the University of Houston. He owned many wonderful restaurants including the Olympia Grill and Olympia Pier 21. He was also a member of the oldest poker game in the state of Texas. His favorite things were fishing, hunting, cooking and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He adored his dog Ranger, a blue lacey. After retirement Tikie and his wife Caolina moved to McKinney, Texas to be close to their daughter and family.

Tikie is survived by his wife Caolina Maria Kriticos of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Kristina Althena Kuehl and son in law Mason Kuehl of Frisco, Texas; grandsons Karson and Lincoln Kuehl of Frisco, daughter Kimberly Marie Zais and son in law Thomas Zais of Southlake, Texas; granddaughters Bella and Elle Zais of Southlake; son Michael Kriticos and daughter in law Marina Kriticos of Houston, Texas; granddaughters Victoria and Eleni Kriticos of Houston; brother Larry Kriticos and sister in law Mary Roxanne Kriticos of Galveston and a sister Callie Kriticos of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are Kosta Vastakis, Niko Vastakis, Leon Fress, Leroy Naschke, III, Gus Fress, Daniel Alvarado and David Bennack. Honorary pallbearers are Omar and Stewart Farb
