Life Story

Tony "T-Boy" Walker was born on May 25th, 1962 to Preston and Sylvia Vales Walker in Galveston, Texas. Tony received his reward of eternal rest on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 at his residence in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services are 12:00 noon Saturday with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

He attended public school in Galveston, Texas and was a proud graduate with the class of 1981 from Ball High School. He was employed for many years with LaPorte ISD and Galveston ISD.  Most recently he was employed by the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier in the maintenance department.

To know Tony was to love him.  He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.  The kindest person you would ever meet. Tony played basketball with the Ball High Tors class of 1981 and was a member of the Pirates Baseball team for many years, playing with his uncles. He was an avid sports enthusiast with the Pittsburgh Steelers being his all time favorite team. He loved spending time with his family, barbecuing, cooking and playing dominos and cards with friends.

Tony  was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Walker, his paternal grandparents Preston Walker Sr. and Frances Maebell Walker, his maternal grandparents Mary Mae and Tifford Vales, his brother Preston Walker Jr. his nephew Chris Walker, his uncles William "Lucky" Walker and Floyd Walker Sr., as well as his aunts Ellen Vales and Shirley Walker Lee.

He is survived by his devoted wife Cathy LeDoux-Walker, his father Preston Walker Sr., and his stepmother Delores Walker. His children Toni Walker, Marcus Walker, and Chris McCain, and the mother of his children Marilyn Hill, his step-children James Williams, Ashley Williams and Joseph LeDoux.  His grandchildren Niko Walker, Crislyn Mccain, Chai McCain and Kai Walker, his step-grandchildren Benjamin LeDoux, Oliver LeDoux, Mackenzie Long, Alora Ellis, Josie Menard, Rylee, Findley, Marley, Piper, and Kayson Williams. He is also survived by his brothers Michael Walker and Preston Gillins, sisters Bridgitt Walker, Doris McCoy (Darrell), Cynthia Jones (Kennie Jr), Prestina and Tara Walker. His uncles Bural Walker (Tona), Clarence "Duke" Walker (Sandra), Lawrence Walker (Tommie Dale), and Lester "BayBay" Walker (Marie) and Ronnie Vales.  His aunts Sheila Walker Hart (Larry) and Joyce Clayton, and his god-daughter Chelsi Reese, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.
