It is with great sadness that we the family of Vicki Eduvijen Diaz age 79 of Galveston passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Texas City. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Melecio and Herminia Diaz, her beautiful sisters Lucy Lopez, Margaret Gonzales and Gracie Diaz.

She is survived by her daughter Regina Diaz Portillo, sister Janie Diaz Ferrel (Dwight), Delores Vega, Elias Martinez (Maria), Raymond Diaz (Beatrice), Melecio Diaz (Linda). Her grandchildren, her loves Nicole Lujan Doyle (Dakota), John Christopher Myles, Daniel A. Portillo, Christopher M. Portillo, Carl Farias. Her great grandchildren Prince Edward Turner, Sonja M. Myles and Ariana R. Lujan. Her nephews David Diaz, Michael Diaz, Chris Gonzales, her nieces Margaret Abete, and Gloria Corpus Castillo.

Vicki was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold for her family and for life. At this time, I Regina would like to say Thank You to some family members: Her special niece Margaret Abete, Gloria Corpus Castillo, Elisa Nicole Silva and to my aunt Janie Diaz Ferrel (Dwight). Thank you so much for each special thing you did during her illness and passing.

Final words: Mom, Thank You for being the "Best Grandma and Great Grandma". Thank You for all the Love and support you gave each one of us.
