Walter Titus Henderson, Sr. "Pepper" was born January 12, 1942, in Cherokee County Texas to the union of Jim & Addie Henderson. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas.
He moved to Galveston from Rusk at an early age and attended Carver Elementary School and Central High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Carter Temple CME Church where he exercised his talent in singing in the choir. He also sang with his brothers and sisters in a quartet group named "The Henderson Family". He also sang with a R & B Group "The Webs Group". The Group released an Album at that time.
Walter married Linda Graves and three children were gifted within this union. He worked for several years for the Furniture Companies.
Pepper was preceded in death by his parents, son, Walter T. Henderson, Jr.
His Celebration of Life will be remembered by his loving family, daughters, Cheryl Banks and Cynthia Smith. Sons; Ernest Wells and Kenneth Henderson, sister; Lillian Ward, nephew Keith Ward and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
