Obituary

Winona Crouch Thomas

February 9, 1929 - June 10, 2022

Winona Crouch Thomas, 93, of Galveston, (formerly of Brazoria and Houston,) passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2022. She is survived by children George, Jr., Pat and husband David Perkins, and Peggy Morris, as well as her 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Winona was born in Spur, Texas on February 9, 1929.  Her family moved to Hempstead and later to Houston, where she met and married George Bradley Thomas. Their church life brought lifelong friendship with fellow members of the Voyagers class, who continued to get together for decades.
After retiring, Winona and Brad built their new family home in Brazoria on the beautiful San Bernard River, where there were numerous wonderful family and  friend reunions and gatherings.

Years after Brad's passing, she moved to The Meridian in Galveston; then moved in with Peggy her last year.
Winona was a beautiful, kind, loving soul and will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of life service for her on Friday, July 8, 11:00 A.M. at Moody Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall, 2803 53rd St. in Galveston.
