Yalile Selene Martinez Chacon, age 47, loving mother of four and adoring wife to husband Carlos Martinez, passed away July 26,2022 surrounded and supported by her loving family. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home for only family due to COVID restrictions on Thursday August 4th, 2022 from 5:00pm until 7:30pm where a rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass is 10:00 am Friday August 5th, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Yalile married her loving husband Carlos Martinez in September of 1991 in Nueva Rosita Mexico, then relocated to Galveston Texas where they have lived for 28 years. She was a big fan of the Houston Astros baseball team, she never missed a game. Yalile volunteered every week at The St. Patrick Catholic Church for the Santísimo and was an active member. Some of her favorite hobbies were to play loteria with family and friends and she loved shopping. If you know her you know that cleaning was always a part of her. When she wasn't spending time with her family, you could find her in the kitchen cooking delightful meals, or her amazing desserts. Everyone loves her tamales and her birria taco recipe! She absolutely adored her grandchildren, she would see them as often as she could, wouldn't go a day without calling them and made sure to spoil them as much as she could. Yalile is a generous, loving and kind mother. She would hold her children by their hand through everything. She and her husband would spend time together by going to the Astros baseball games, spending time at The Spot restaurant, trying new restaurants, cooking together and attending family gatherings. Yalile was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

We know that we can't have you back but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.

She is preceded in death by her grand parents, Francisco Chacon López and Herminia Quijano. Her brothers Juan Fco Chacon y Jesús Alfonso López Chacon.  Yalile is survived by her husband Carlos Martinez. Her four children: Mayra and husband John Urbani, Rocio and husband Noel Reyes, Neida and husband Julian Hoskins and Carlos Martinez JR. Her four grandchildren: Anthony Urbani, Kane Urbani, Emma Hoskins and Elijah Hoskins. Her mother Maria Esther Chacon Quijano. Her brother Alfonso Chacon wife Yolanda, sister Juanita and husband Hector Martinez and sister Herminia Lopez. Numerous of nieces and nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers will be John Urbani, Noel Reyes, Julian Hoskins, Artemio Reynosa Jr., Fernando Martinez, Benett Chacon.

La familia recibirá visitas en la funeraria solo para familiares debido a las restricciones de COVID el jueves 4 de agosto de 2022 desde las 5:00 pm hasta las 7:30 pm donde se rezará un rosario a las 6:00 pm. La misa fúnebre es a las 10:00 am el viernes 5 de agosto de 2022 en la iglesia católica St. Patrick. Yalile se casó con su amado esposo Carlos Martínez en septiembre de 1991 en Nueva Rosita México, luego se mudó a Galveston, Texas, donde han vivido durante 28 años.

Era una gran fanática del equipo de béisbol Houston Astros, nunca se perdía un juego. Yalile se ofreció como voluntaria todas las semanas en la Iglesia Católica St. Patrick para el Santísimo y fue miembro activo. Algunos de sus pasatiempos favoritos eran jugar a la lotería con familiares y amigos y le encantaba ir de compras. Si la conoces, sabrás que la limpieza siempre fue parte de ella. Cuando no estaba pasando tiempo con su familia, podías encontrarla en la cocina cocinando deliciosas comidas o sus increíbles postres. ¡A todos les encantan sus tamales y su receta de tacos de birria! Ella adoraba absolutamente a sus nietos, los veía tan a menudo como podía, no pasaba un día sin llamarlos y se aseguraba de consentirlos tanto como podía. Yalile es una madre generosa, amorosa y bondadosa. Sostendría a sus hijos de la mano en todo. Ella y su esposo pasaban tiempo juntos yendo a los juegos de béisbol de los Astros, pasando tiempo en el restaurante The Spot, probando nuevos restaurantes, cocinando juntos y asistiendo a reuniones familiares. Yalile estaba inmensamente orgullosa de su familia y no deja más que hermosos recuerdos.

Sabemos que no podemos tenerte de vuelta, pero estamos felices de saber que los ángeles finalmente te han recuperado. Adiós a una mujer maravillosa y una madre hermosa.
