GALVESTON Yolanda Estela Lloreda age 76 of Galveston passed away Friday March 13, 2020 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral Mass is 11:00am Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.
Yolanda was born January 21, 1944 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Rosario Campos and Rosario Guzman. She worked as a clerk in dietary at UTMB retiring with over 33 years of service. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Parish in Galveston. She enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos with her friends and family that she loved dearly. She will be missed and remembered as a loving mother and caring grandmother and for being hardworking, her great cooking and the love of her church and family.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband James V. Lloreda, brothers Francisco Campos and Jose Luis Campos and a sister Josefina Gonzalez; survivors include sons Robert Lloreda, Sr. and husband Derek; Ernest Lloreda, James Lloreda and wife Cristina; sisters Berenice Medina, Evangelina Medina, Rosa Gutierrez; brother Humberto Campos; grandchildren, Robert Lloreda, Jr., Steven Lloreda, Celeste Lloreda, Jacob Lloreda and Melissa Deskins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Willis and the oncologist team at UTMB for the wonderful care and support given to our mother.
Pallbearers James Lloreda, III, Robert Lloreda, Sr., Ernest Lloreda, Robert Lloreda, Jr., Steven Lloreda and Derek Lloreda. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Lloreda and Celeste Lloreda.
