Yolanda Vera age 75 of Texas City passed away Saturday September 2, 2023 at UTMB League City.  Yolanda was born August 14, 1948 in Benevides, Texas to Hildo Guzman and Elida Dimas Guzman. She was a lifelong faithful Roman Catholic. She was retired from GISD with 41 years of service as a Benefits Coordinator. After retirement she substituted at Clear Creek ISD and worked at the Galveston Cruise Terminal. She also served faithfully as the secretary-treasurer for the Galveston Rifle and Pistol Club for many years.

Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ricardo Vera, survivors include her daughter Marlena Vera and Mark Poretto of Galveston; son Ricardo Vera and wife Lynn of Dickinson; granddaughter Macie Vera and fiancé Kyle Sweetland of Texas City; 4 brothers and a sister.
